Spinelli Kilcollin is Launching Bridal For Spring/Summer 2019
When Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin, co-founders and designers of their namesake fine jewelry label Spinelli Kilcollin, got married last summer, the two realized a void for their downtown yet dainty aesthetic in the otherwise glamorous and/or vintage-inspired engagement ring circuit.
The duo is best known for their stackable and interlocking rings, which appear to be a stack of complementary bands grouped together by a set of rings (and no, the irony of rings on rings in rings is not lost on us). Their signature design, which is now sold both online and in top-tier retailers like Barneys as well as e-tailers like Matches and Plan de Ville, conveniently serves as a subtle yet chic nod to lives being joined and disparate parts coming together to form one, more interesting unit.
Rather than sticking with bands for their bridal range, the label has introduced customizable solitaire settings–which can feature a diamond or another precious stone of a couple's choosing. The solitaire rings are intended to be engagement rings, with the option to purchase linked or single-band wedding rings after the engagement, and have them all linked together for the wedding. The possibilities, in essence, are endless–couples can choose to continue to add to their sentimental stack as they wish, be it for anniversaries or future milestones. In addition to rings and interlocking bands, the label will also introduce jewelry for the bride–read: a few pairs of stellar statement earrings for the aisle.
Says the designer couple, "The symbolic power of the linked rings is incredibly strong...Perhaps it took getting married ourselves to figure out how to manifest that symbolism into a collection of rings for others." The collection is available in 18k white, yellow and rose gold as well as in platinum, and with the options of conflict-free white or colored diamonds, sapphires, emeralds or rubies. Looking to provide the perfect option for the alternative bride, the brand is tapping into its inherent architectural, contemporary aesthetic to offer fashion-forward brides a look that's both wearable and sentimental.
The line will launch on April 11, 2019 on the brand's website, where it will be available for purchase; the bridal range will consist of 8 core styles, which clients can riff off of in collaboration with the brand. Consultations for customization are encouraged, and offered both in person or via phone.
